Some thoughts for choosing a wedding photographer

I believe that wedding photography should be approached as an art form emphasizing a departure from the typical wedding images of the past. The ability to make quality images that possess exceptional exposure, dynamic composition, creative lighting and capturing the essence of the subject are essential, but the innovative photographer must begin a creative journey that will inspire the genesis of true artistry in their photography.  More below…

The creative wedding photographer must always be looking for a unique and individualistic way to create images that evoke an emotional response in the viewer… in other words, creating true artistry. That is, the ability to create for the client, images that stand out from the rest, images that go beyond the typical. Since the advent of digital photography, most major markets are now saturated with wedding photographers, making it more difficult for the discerning couple to select a competent photographer for what is likely one of the most important days in their lives thus far. When viewing the galleries of the many photographers out there, look for images that spark an emotional response, images that say something to you.  See much more at our main site:  Wedding Photography Portland

Day Drive Through North/Central Oregon

Wow, I still can’t believe how many beautiful places there are close to home in Oregon. Brenda and I love a certain day trip from Portland, driving east on I-84 to just past the Dalles. Take the Mosier exit and check out the overlook at Rowena, then south toward Wasco and see the wind farms, very cool! It’s like driving into the past in north central Oregon. We had the best burgers we ever ate at the Twist & Shake Drive-In Restaurant in downtown Condon. Great food, great service, great people. Here are few images from our little trip. And by the way, if your interested in any images for wallpapers or backgrounds, let me know… just email from our website at: Michael Hacker Photography
